About Lisa Di Vita

Greetings, and thank you for visiting my blog!

My background lies firmly entrenched in the fine arts: I’ve made a living as a stage and television actress, as a singer, as a dancer and even as a radio sportscaster. The jury is still out as to whether I’m multi-talented or I just can’t keep a job.

All along the journey, however, I’ve always written, be it speeches, articles, stories, or editorials. Still, for years I have fought the idea of becoming a full time writer. Now that I’ve succumbed to the notion, I’m filled with a renewed sense of purpose.

“Shattered Peacock,” my first historical novel, consumed me for several years. What happened to Iran in 1979 changed the course of history and affects the world now as much as it did then.

Now I’ve just published my second historical novel: the first in a trilogy about Queen Margaret of Scotland. I traveled to Scotland to research at the National Library of Scotland, and then spent nearly a year hunkering down at the Huntington Library and Gardens, a beautiful place to visit for art, gardens and history, in San Marino, CA. It’s a place I think Margaret would have enjoyed.

“As a Deer Longs for Running Streams: The Story of Queen Margaret of Scotland,” is available in soft cover and eBook on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Baby and other sites. Margaret was smart, beautiful and wise, even as England imploded around her. She’s worth reading about!

Bottom line: Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s stay in touch.
